It all began with a bad shopping experience. I was at a store trying to find the dress but the fabric was stiff and the fit was all wrong. That is when Aavora was born. A brand that wants to make dresses that feel good and look good too. We are a team and we care about making clothes that make women feel confident and comfortable everywhere in India and other places.

We look for the fabrics. We find cotton from weavers in Tamil Nadu nice silk from Assam and light chiffon that moves when you walk. We do not want anything that will irritate your skin or make you feel trapped. We make clothes for your life. If you are going to a wedding in Jaipur we have long dresses with elastic waistbands that will be comfortable. If you are going to work in Bangalore we have dresses that will keep you cool. If you are going to the hills for the weekend we have fun prints that will move with you.

We think everyone should be able to wear our clothes. So we make sizes from XS to 3XL. We want our clothes to fit well no matter what you look like. We use seams that you will not notice and special fabric that will keep you dry on hot days. We promise that our clothes will not rub against your skin. This means you can forget you are wearing clothes and just enjoy your life. Laughing with friends doing well at work or watching the sunset.

We get our ideas from women like you. Mothers in Kolkata working women in Hyderabad and free spirited women in Kerala. We like to mix traditions with modern ideas. We also care about the earth. We work with artisans who are treated fairly we use dyes and we do not waste anything. Our clothes are not like fashion. They are made to last. One of our customers Neha from Chennai said that our clothes changed the way she dresses every day.
